College Readiness

We offer college readiness classes for students who have high school diplomas but need to brush up on basic skills in math and/or reading before taking college classes.  These are tuition-based classes and you can register online through HCC Express.

Pre-Algebra & Geometry

Topics in algebra and geometry are introduced in a small, instructor-led setting.  The class is intended for two audiences: students who need to pass the math portion of the GED and credit students having trouble in 060/061.  Students successful in this course will be allowed to retake the Math Accuplacer.

Preparation for the Math Placement Exam

This class is for students preparing to take HCC's placement tests.  The class provides a fast-paced review of math concepts for students who have taken pre-algebra and geometry in high school but do not remember it well.  The class can be taken in the classroom or online.

This is an intensive class in reading, writing, and study skills for students who may have difficulty in developmental English classes.

Grammar for Your Job

This class provides review of English grammar concepts.  It can be taken for credit or non-credit.
