Spanish Language Skills Training for the Workplace

What is Command Spanish? Language training specifically for the workplace that is real-world, Speak-It-Now Spanish for supervisors and employees in specific occupations. It is not grammar based and does not replace or substitute for traditional academic language training, but instead focuses on giving you the specific commands, questions, and phrases you need on the job, as well as better cross-cultural awareness. Command Spanish training gives you and your company better communication in the workplace, increased workplace safety, and enhanced job performance and employee morale.

This instruction does not take the place of formal, grammar-based Spanish classes. This is survival Spanish for specific professions and focuses completely on typical phrases used on the job.

Weekly lessons were practical, interactive (loved the use of music), and fun.  The pace of the lessons was brisk without being overwhelming.  The technique of using a say/repeat pattern for phrases was also very effective.  Mrs. Phillips  incorporated games, personal stories and skits to keep us motivated.

The Command Spanish curriculum is teacher-centered and provides work-specific phrases.  The structure of the materials with phonetic spellings as well as the inclusion of the CD is also useful.  With little exception the content is also applicable to community/neighborhood interaction.
