| 1. | Completed English Language Institute application. |
| 2. | Non-refundable application fee of $50 for International applicants and $25 for US Citizens and Permanent US Residents. |
| 3. | Proof of high school graduation / college attendance or the ELI placement exam (for those already in the U.S.). Students planning to pursue degree studies at HCC are strongly advised to provide high school transcripts. |
| 4. | Online English language placement test. Students will be sent information on testing via email upon receipt of ELI application and application fee. |
| 5. | Certification of Finances form, official bank statements, and statements of support dated within 90 days. Students must verify that they can pay for their academic and living expenses before they can be admitted. At present these costs are $20,800 for one year of study. Costs are subject to change. |
| 6. | Health Insurance. AFTER F-1 visa/status approval and PRIOR to registration for classes, students must provide proof of health insurance that covers medical care in the U.S. It is strongly recommended that coverage include medical evacuation and repatriation to student's home country. |
| 7. | Additional Requirements. If you wish to transfer to Howard Community College or change your status, additional fees, forms and procedures may be necessary. Please contact or meet with an International Student Advisor to receive the necessary forms and information. |
