Biography

Emily grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and is now happy to call Maryland home.  She taught her first English class when she was 16 years old, in Pilar, Paraguay, where she lived as an exchange student during high school.  Since then, she has earned her BA in International Studies, as well as a Spanish translation certificate, at American University in Washington, DC.  She studied TESOL in London and holds a Trinity certificate in that area, as well as an MA in Spanish from The University of Akron.  She has traveled extensively in Europe and has worked and studied abroad in places like Brussels, Belgium and Amsterdam, The Netherlands.  She speaks Spanish, French and Dutch.
