Biography

Hi, My name is Lisa Booth and I currently teach conversation classes here at Howard Community College. While this is my first experience as a formal ESL teacher, I have past experience teaching foreign language. I love that I can help my students feel more comfortable and confident here in the United States.

I moved to Maryland in 1998, after graduating from Skidmore College and living in Boston for a little less than a year. My family is primarily in the New York area. I prefer the weather here, in addition to the professional and social life that I have established since arriving 10 years ago.

• Howard County Public Schools- High School French and Spanish
• Roland Park Country School- Middle School French and Spanish
• French and Spanish to Elementary School students  (TPR style)
• Howard Community College (ESL and World Languages Department)

• B.A. in Psychology and French from Skidmore College
• M.A. Education (Instructional Systems Design)  from UMBC
