Learn English and study U.S. culture and history while making day trips to some of the historic and picturesque tourist sites in our regional area. This class is for beginners and low-intermediate students only. There will be four planned all day field trips. Transportation and basic admission fees will be provided, but food and optional expenses are not included. Tentative travel sites include 1) Washington, D.C.; 2) the Amish country near Lancaster, Pennsylvania; 3) Annapolis; and 4) Harper’s Ferry. Join us for fun and learning! A placement test is required. Writing and Grammar 3 Online *NEW* (Int I) (Course#: YE-620)
This online course is designed for students who can’t come to a regular class but have time to attend online sessions and complete assignments from home. You must be proficient with the computer in order to complete your assignments and you are required to have internet access, a “noise cancelling” microphone”, a head set or speakers, and a webcam in order to take the course. Topics include sentence writing, paragraph writing, new vocabulary, and grammar. Using the newest technology available, you will have some online, “live time” with the instructor at the times that are scheduled below. With your webcam and our technology, your teacher and online classmates will meet for “live” discussions and special tutoring. All sessions will be recorded.
