Continuing Education Online Courses from EDUCATION TO GO These courses start up every six to eight weeks. Choose from over 185 in many different topics, including the Internet, computers, business management, health, personal enrichment, writing, and test preparation. To see what noncredit classes are being offered during the current term, please view the current Noncredit Schedule of Classes. The online courses offered in cooperation with Harford Community College use the WebCT system. They allow you to communicate, email, and collaborate with fellow students and the instructor. The day of the week indicated in the course description shows the day that the instructor releases new content. For more information on using WebCT, visit www.harford.edu/distlearn and click on the WebCT Manual. To register for these noncredit online courses: Step 1 Register for the course/s: Register as you would for any Howard Community College Continuing Education class. Be sure to include your email address on the form. Step 2 Receive confirmation and instructions: Before the online course/s begins, you will receive an email confirmation with WebCT logon instructions, the school-assigned user ID and password needed to set up the course, course syllabus, and instructions for being a successful online learner from the online coordinator. Instructors will contact you before the course begins. Note: Setup instructions are emailed as Word 2000 attachments. Step 3 Set up your profile and login: If you've never used WebCT before, use Harford's instructions found at www.harford.edu/distlearn. Textbooks can be ordered online before class begins at www.harford.edu/department/collegestore, or purchased at Howard Community College's Bookstore. Step 4 Begin!
