Crash Course in Event Planning
Acquire the basics of event planning in this course. Discover how to organize, plan and execute an event in style. Get ready to discuss an event on which you are currently working, such as a baby shower, birthday, conference, retreat etc. Lets work together to make your event a success! $55 (includes $40 in fees*)

The Site Selection Process
Learn the basic steps of the site selection process. This course will review the legal issues in selecting your site, how to determine the physical requirements for the site, what to consider when selecting meeting rooms, the choices in configurations, how facilities charge for meeting rooms and the formula for determining what size room is needed. Anyone interested in planning an event at a hotel will benefit by understanding hotel profit centers, contract negotiations, legal issues and license requirements. This course covers writing a request for proposal (RFP), developing a meeting resume, and preparing addendums that will protect the organization. $30** (fee based, no waivers)

Designing an event is your opportunity to put the WOW! in your events. Learn how to engage your attendee's five senses while creating a one-of-a-kind design within budget. Creating a fabulous design is only one aspect of the event-learn how to coordinate and produce a flawless event utilizing timelines and production schedules. Coordinating the logistics and layout of the event, while keeping event type and guests top-of-mind will be discussed. $55 (includes $40 in fees*)

Table Etiquette for the Event Planner
A comparative look at ways of implementing traditional tabletop rules in our modern society. This course will cover the basics of table etiquette from linens to china, silver, crystal and table decor.
