How to Register
All registrants will be asked to provide their driver's license number and to sign waivers of liability. Only students having a Maryland license or Learner's Permit and successfully complete the course will receive an MVA certificate . Students from other states who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of completion. (Please check with your state's licensing agency to determine whether they accept the certificate of completion.) Parents or guardians of registered students under age 18 will be required to sign a consent form given out just before or at the first class. Students of ages 16-18 will be required to show proof of age.

Choose 1 of 5 options:
Option 1: FAX (preferred method)
Print out the registration form, and fax the form and credit card information for VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover, including account number and expiration date, to 410-772-4333. Credit card information must accompany faxed-in registration. (Please allow two days for processing.) If you register at least seven days before your class begins, you will receive a confirmation in the mail.

Option 2: IN PERSON
Print out the registration form, fill it out, and visit the Registration Office in the Student Services Building, room 233. Hours: 8:45 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8:45 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on Fridays.
Option 3: PHONE
You can use this option if you have taken a class within the past two years and are paying for registration using VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. Dial 410-772-4310 and follow the recorded instructions. If you register at least seven days before the class begins, you will receive a confirmation in the mail. Note: This option is not available once a class starts. Phone registration for fall courses will not be available until July 15.
Option 4: MAIL
Print out the registration form. Include credit card information for VISA, MasterCard, or American Express (NOT Discover), or enclose a check payable to Howard Community College (please put name, address, home and business phones, and Social Security number on the check), and mail to Howard Community College, 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia, MD 21044-3197, ATTN: Lock Box Cashier RCF 220. Please note: Since mail is the slowest method, you may lose your opportunity to get into class, because these classes fill quickly, so please mail as early as you can. If you register at least seven days before your class begins, you will receive a confirmation in the mail.
Option 5: ONLINE (using HCC Express)
Take advantage of HCC's online registration service, available daily 8 a.m. to midnight. Register and pay onscreen, and get immediate confirmation. No waiting or delays! At the top of this page, click on the “Registration and Payment” link and then on “Online Registration” to link to HCC Express, our online registration system. New out-of-county, out-of-state, or international students, and new students who qualify for a senior or disability waiver must register for the first time by fax, mail, or in person. If you are a current or returning student and your correct email address is not in our system, please call 410-772-4825. Your login is a combination of your first initial, the first seven letters of your last name, all in lowercase, and the last four digits of your student ID number. The student ID number appears on your confirmation letters from previous registrations. Only students who have taken classes in the last five years have an account. If you're a new student, HCC Express will prompt you to provide your address and other information; after you have registered, you will receive a confirmation with your student ID number and password. Tuition must be paid in full at time of registration.
