How to Register

All registrants will be asked to provide their driver's license number and to sign waivers of liability. Only students who have a Maryland license or Learner's Permit and who successfully complete the course will receive an MVA certificate. Students from other states who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of completion. (Please check with your state's licensing agency to determine whether they accept the certificate of completion.) Parents or guardians of registered students under age 18 will be required to sign a consent form given out just before or at the first class. Students of ages 16-18 will be required to show proof of age.

Choose 1 of 5 options:

Option 1: ONLINE using HCC Express
HCC Express, the college’s online registration service, is available daily 8 a.m. to midnight. Register and pay onscreen, and get immediate confirmation.

New Students: HCC Express will prompt you to provide your address and other information; after you have registered, you will receive a confirmation with your student ID number and password.
Returning Students: Your login name is your first initial of your first name first seven letters of your last name (all in lowercase) and the last four digits of your student ID number. (Example: Jim Happaschuler might be "jhappasc3333"). For questions about passwords, call HCC's Help Desk at 410-772-4444.  For questions about logins, call 410-772-4825.

Option 2: FAX
Print out the registration form, and fax the form and credit card information for VISA, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover, including account number and expiration date, to 410-772-4333.  (Please allow two days for processing.)  If you register at least seven days before your class begins, you will receive a confirmation in the mail.

Option 3: MAIL
Print out the registration form.  Fill out and mail to Howard Community College, 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia, MD 21044-3197, ATTN: Lock Box Cashier RCF 203.  If you register at least seven days before your class begins, you will receive a confirmation in the mail.

Option 4: IN PERSON

Print out the registration form, fill it out, and visit the Registration Office in the Student Services Building, room 233.  Hours: 8:45 a.m.–7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8:45 a.m.–5:00 p.m. on Fridays.

Option 5: PHONE
You can use this option if you have taken a class within the past two years and are paying for registration using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. Have your Student ID number, class information, and credit card handy and call 410-772-4310. Press 2 for the Continuing Education Noncredit option and follow the instructions. Note: This option is not available once a class has started.

TUITION MUST BE PAID AT TIME OF REGISTRATION.
